Bought a VSOP bottle on a lark in college, didn't really get it honestly, don't remember the brand. I was on a bourbon kick at the time and didn't really appreciate it.

Decades ago I took a wine class. 12 week series. The instructor a Los Angeles Times columnist provided multiple field trips around the world. I took this class for multiple years.
Memories of a trip to the Cognac region of France to most of the most famous producers.
Great memories of Hennessy, where the owner took us to a local very small private vineyard. A very old owner had a small copper still and his only customer was Hennessy, who used his Cognac to blend into what they produced for their most expensive product. Got to taste a totally unaged Cognac vs the aged result from Hennessy.
I assume Hennessy bought that vineyard after the owner died but really have no clue.
Dyslexia. A curse and a Blessing. As an Engineer Dyslexia has made me lots of $$$$$ - Did not accept my Masters degree, because I knew it would be dishonest of me. I had to cheat on one Engineering course to pass.
These days I could pass that class with an A back then IMPOSSIBLE to get more than an F
Passing English was a nightmare. Straight A,s from first year to last except for English.
