I remember. He almost seemed to possess a soul.

> Genuinely have no idea. Everything he did up to Wednesday made sense, it was predictable, and everyone knew it was going to happen (I'm talking about the, *ahem*, "peacekeeping mission" in Donbas, for which Biden basically gave him a pass). Everything he's done SINCE then makes precisely zero sense, it is NOT what anybody here (I'm in St Petersburg Russia) wants or supports, we have NO fucking idea what the end game is supposed to be (we're gonna occupy a country of nearly 50 million people, the vast majority of whom want nothing to do with Russia, for the rest of human history? Did Russia learn nothing from Afghanistan?), and ANY (fuck off in advance Anon Z-1) rightful claim we had to moral superiority over America in this conflict got napalmed last night when Putin sent Ukrainian children cowering into the Kiev metro without their parents to comfort them as Russian tanks wrecked their young lives and probably traumatised them for life. I've been here almost 20 years and I have never before seen the main newsreader on the main state news channel looking visibly shaken and honestly confused as to what he was supposed to be reporting. The 'invasion' of Donbas last week was obvious and planned for years but this full invasion of Ukraine that followed 2 days later SEEMS, at least, to have been an impulsive decision. To what final end, only Putin knows. Fucked if I do.

> There is NO justification for what is happening now and, more importantly, it makes no geopolitical sense outside of Putin's pathological obsession with the concept of "Ukraine should never have left the Russian empire!" (ok Vlad, so on the same basis should Britain and France start divvying up Africa again? In your hour-long lecture on Ukrainian history why did you begin at 1922? Go back a few more centuries to the Kievan Rus and you'll find your own logic destroys your reason for invasion).

And it goes on: https://minichan.net/topic/102427#reply_1158159

So, Dave. What changed?

Putin made my butthole hurt.

He's never been the same since he ran away from Tinychan to escape the repeated violent FISTFUCKINGS he kept receiving there.

I have said a thousand times: every Ukrainian who died prior to April 2022 is on Putin. Every Ukrainian who died after that is on Washington and London.

It isn't "on" the invading and occupying force? You said, and I agree, that the invasion is unjustified and makes no geopolitical sense.

Are Ukrainians not meant to resist this unjustified attack caused by, in your words, Putin's "pathological obsession?"

Your words struck me as heartfelt and genuine. Somewhere along the line you got carried away by ideology. That's sad.

I don't think he's traumatized. I do recognize his opinions on here are exaggerated (he's playing a character - of course he has a more nuanced and serious opinion "IRL") but I think his posts are a reflection of his general thoughts. His post I'm quoting was showing genuine emotion. I want to know what changed that he now mocks soldiers dying in retreat, defending against a nonsensical war of aggression waged by a madman (his words).

Russian authorities might be on the verge of discovering his history of online noncery, which is something they're not big fans of over there. If that's the case, this is his attempt at building up an online record he can point to that he thinks will show he's turned over a new leaf and become an upstanding defender of Russian values or whatever.

I am not mocking soldiers dying in retreat. It is a parody of Svet's posts where he celebrates "base" UK fighters killing Russians, like it's all an entertaining game (which it is for him and millions like him). For 18 months the West put out ridiculous nonsense about Ukrainians smashing up a shambolic army which would be crushed by NATO equipment. This has prolonged the suffering of Ukrainians. I was calling for peace 18 months ago, because I knew the only alternative is what we now have: the total death of Ukraine. This is on you, who has been cheerleading this war. Not me. You spent 18 months laughing at dead Russians. Well guess what, let's see you now laugh at dead Ukrainians.

He isn't living in a warzone. He lives with his family in comfort and safety, far away from the frontline. I'm happy he's able to enjoy something Ukrainians apparently don't deserve (or, if they do, it's the West that's denying it to them by not "letting" Russia win).
@1,284,133 (Father Dave !RsSxeehGwc)
So your solution to an unjust war of aggression is to rapidly surrender? (Have you ever met a Ukrainian?) You see no difference between celebrating the demise of the aggressors versus Ukraine's defenders? Svet's retardation aside (it's a video game for him), I don't believe for a second that you are genuinely surprised or troubled that people laugh at Russians being dispatched to Hell. Russia has spent the last few years terrorizing Ukraine pointlessly. There is no reason for any of this, as you so openly (and, I'll add, commendably) once said.

Every death in this conflict is an absurd tragedy. It didn't have to happen. It doesn't have to continue. Too many young men are being sent to their slaughter. But Ukrainian men die with dignity and honor, in the defense of their homeland from existential threat. Russians die for absolutely nothing whatsoever, except the pathological irredentism of an unwell despot.

You want a coward's peace, with Ukraine accepting Russian theft of her territory. A fake peace. This has been a fight to the death since day one. Ukraine has spoken loudly: Victory, or death!

I have family and friends in Ukraine so I am not an objective bystander, but I believe Russia was very mistaken if they thought Ukrainian men were cowards who would all flee at the first shot. Many left; many more planted their feet squarely on the ground.

I'm not surprised a war should change people, people are dying and nightmares are flying. It changes everyone and everything, it's easy to hope the people you know are the ones who prevail, it's very easy and easier to understand.
