Here's a fun game we can play. Let's find the last point in time in which Kook made a transphobic comment and our first evidence of her being married to a trans woman. So far the gap is a mere 2.7 years! I bet we can get it down much lower because I only spent a few minutes searching for these.
Another fun one would be the gap between Kook discovering Brie's newfound wealth and their marriage. This one may be a little harder to see evidence of in public MC posts, but anecdotes are welcome as well.
Here's what I've got for the transphobic - marriage gap:
8 august 2019 > A wife will be married to her husband for ten years, he will come out as being trans and the wife will be like I'm a lesbian! Bitch no you're not https://minichan.net/topic/89958#reply_1025803
8 august 2019 (same thread as above) > >lol so why not just stay male to begin with? > Because they get off by dressing as a woman and having other woman acknowledge them as such

I hadn't actually read the first thread in full when I posted the OP. Now that I have, let me say that there's some pretty wild quotes by Kook in there. Fun read.

I cannot change my past. All I can do now is be a kind person who shows her wife daily all the love and respect that she deserves
We are compatible, we enjoy being around each other, our family approves of the relationship, and we plan on continuing this union in perpetuity
No amount of bitterness or stalkerish behavior can split us. We are both painfully aware of our pasts and discuss them regularly and we are stronger for it. Your meddling will change nothing

In the context of a thread about women who married men who hid they were AGP from their wives for decades who then suddenly "come out as trans" in a mid-life crisis. Do you think that wouldn't be a challenging time for those women?

You're making a whole lot of assumptions here and none of them are correct.
Please share with us your story about these gaps and when and how they were closed. It's touching and inspiring how quickly you've made such drastic changes in world view. I don't think I've seen anything like it before. It happened all so quickly and that gives me hope many others here and elsewhere can change for the better and to love all humans no matter who they are.

Sure, maybe I or someone else here will.
What I'm most interested in hearing from you is HOW this transformation happened. For me, it is a mere curiosity, but for others it could be literally life changing. Every trans person deserves love and respect and unfortunately we live in a time where this is often not what they receive. You, being someone from "the other side", could speak to these people that hold hateful views and help them through to the side of empathy, understanding, and acceptance.

Where? When? Does Brie even post here anymore? I have no idea when I've last interacted with her. Could've been over 10 years ago for all I know, I can't remember any specific examples off the top of my head. It's weird that you seem to, since you've already made many other incorrect assumptions about me, but ok.
Regardless of who I am or am not, this really has nothing to do with me and has everything to do with you. This is your opportunity to help others and I don't know of anyone else - I'm not sure if there even is anyone else - as qualified as you to do it in the way that I know you could.

Clearly we should. We should also encourage those that have to help those that should. I don't know why that's such a contentious issue for kook.

You were the one trying to "contextualize" what Kook was saying in that thread. Do you believe everything she said there can be so contextualized or do you find any of it objectionable? What? And why?

Let's try this again. We've already agreed this has nothing to do with me. So how about getting on with the actual important part where you help others that still hold the beliefs that you were fortunately able to abandon in just two and a half years.

No idea why you keep trying to argue about what I do and don't believe... to me.
But, yes, I agree, helping other trans women is not your "job". Yes, trying to help people who hold the views you expressed just a few short years ago come to the realizations you've apparently come to is also not your job, but I don't think it's asking so much from you to do so. You spend countless hours here with people that hold views that are indistinguishable from what yours were. I can't for the life of me understand why you'd reject the opportunity to try to make the world a better place with little to no effort on your end.

You may've noticed some people ITT have asserted that Kook changed her views due to money. Since, you've expressed some knowledge and alternative ideas about how to interpret her views, perhaps you know of any easy way to refute those assertions?
One way I can think of is if there were any public statements (any at all) by Kook recanting her views or even expressing some semblance of neutrality towards trans women BEFORE either her marriage or discovery of Brie's wealth. If something like that were to be found, we could empathetically slam the door shut on these allegations. At the same time it'd give a lot more hope of helping others in coming around to having less bigoted views towards trans women.

What signs of honesty did you express back then that you do not see in the people here today?
If I understand this right, you are claiming that everyone here that expresses transphobic views is hopeless and beyond change? How long after changing your views did it take for you to form that conclusion?
Of the people that you are in contact with that are candidates for being convinced of a more enlightened point of view (not necessarily from here, but from any online or offline community) what types of arguments have you use to convince them? What types of arguments were what convinced you?
Are there no instances of Kook publicly expressing normal, non-hateful views towards trans women before her discovery of Brie's wealth?
Why do you care about this anyway? Seems you don't care about helping convince others to have a more empathetic and loving view of trans women. So I don't get why you're in this thread at all.

UPDATE: The gap between Kook's last transphobic comment and her knowledge of Brie's wealth? That comes out to be just under a year -- 340 days! Of course, it's possible this gap is smaller still. I've just casually searched, so perhaps more treasures await.
In July 2020, Matt asks Brie: "Now that you are wealthy, May I email you with a proposal?", to which Kook responds "leave Brie alone" [1].
16 days later, Kook says she's "crushing on Brie" [2].
Imagine: less than one year before, Kook was saying: [3] > So many [MTF trans women] have stolen their sisters panties and masturbates while wearing them, and they talk like it was okay because it was "gender affirming"
along with several other completely wild claims and hateful beliefs.
But you know what's really wild? In the first thread I've linked in this post, Brie states that her "high self from 2010 set [herself] up for a windfall where [she] found a leftover stack of bitcæ almost a decade later" [1a]. So, "almost a decade later" from 2010. When would that be? 2019? 2018?
The gaps we are speaking of here, folks, is already down not to 1 or 2 years, but a matter of days.
I would say this is a cause for celebration! 🎉🥳 A nearly 40 year old woman from the deep South went from saying hateful transphobic comments online for years to a champion of trans rights in mere days! This makes me hopeful that literally anyone can be convinced to support trans women.

Why are you being so argumentative? You are acting defensive, like it's a bad thing that you took 340 days to rid yourself of bigoted views. I wish it had taken you less than a single day! No, a single second!
You should feel good about yourself. You need not defend anything. Please take this to heart and share your story with the world, so others can learn and grow as well. You should be proud of who you are and what you've become.

@1,280,442 (D) > but you sure have a strange way of showing it.
I don't think there's anything strange about it at all. I said what I've noticed and I've said what I think. Should someone that truly cares have done less? Just kept their mouth shut? Why? Because Kook is getting upset? Why is she getting upset? In all her attempts to turn this into a conversation about me, she's revealing more and more about herself. Sounds like it ought to be some type of Chinese proverb. The fact of the matter is, it doesn't matter who I am. Everything I've said can be easily verified -- I gave links to each and every quote. Everyone is welcomed and invited to think this through themselves.
> If you aren't full of shit, then cease and desist from libeling her wife immediately
If you can show me anything you believe to be libel, then please point to it. Changing her world view from spewing borderline hate-speech all over the board to being an aggressive defender of trans women - in a matter of days. Why shouldn't we celebrate?
If this makes anyone uncomfortable or feel defensive, then perhaps it's worth asking: why? Why should this make Kook feel alarmed? It doesn't make sense to me. There must be more to the story.
