Some time ago, I posted a thread with plans to hike the Florida Trail, but that plan got put in the trash.

Gonna push for 12 to 15 miles a day. It all depends on the uphill climbs I have to do on whatever given day. The first week or so in WV will be easy to moderate, once I get into Virginia, the hills become more frequent and steeper. The biggest uphill climb I'll have in VA will be about 3000 feet at Priest Mountain.

I've hiked on a few trails. The last one being in 2019 on the Pinhoti Trail from Alabama until it connected with the Appalachian Trail in Georgia. That took about 2 monthes to hike.

Oh lately, no. When I did the Pinhoti, I went without doing any training or preparing for the hike, the first week and a half was slow, but I eventually started picking up the pace.

Good luck! FWIW I looked around for a baleeted thread from you and couldn't find one. It's possible that it got eaten when tteh very intelligently neglected to back up the fora and then it died, losing a ton of threads.

They made a topic about planning to do this same hike 1.8 years ago and the other hike thread they mentioned was 3.6 years ago. I guess they both never happened, doesn't seem like any of their hiking topics got eaten

I hiked the Appalachian Trail once. It's an amazing experience. I hope you have fun!
