Rumor has it that there might be a pizza party topic when that second check comes out. Stay tuned...

It's a miracle we got the first one. There is no way this conservative, poor-hating government will ever allow another one.

If Bert got a 2nd check, should he spend the money on Red Baron pizza for a pizza party thread, or place the money into savings and have a job hunting party instead?

Neither. Scratchers.

Of course, I have been a fool! He should spend all of it, minus a few packs of cigarettes and pints of booze, on scratch-offs.

Weird stimulus proposal:

Borrow $5000 from your Social Security.

Sounds sketchy but it would just be like waiting an extra few weeks for your SS checks to start.

FIVE GRAND

Well, they know part of the last deal they let get passed was partly a fuckup.
That extra $600 bonus per week on Unemployment checks is causing millions of people to want to ride out the checks and say fuck it to The Grand Reopening. And I think the House has an extension of that bonus in the current Bill.

Exactly, the government will never pay people’s rents, give out meaningful long term direct payments, cover medical costs for folks, while two to three million Americans lose their jobs every other week.

The long term effects of this quarantine will be worse for the American economy than the virus. The government has forced us all to be laid off and ruined millions of small and medium sized business who will not be able to operate once the quarantine ends. There will be huge unemployment after the shutdown because the government has been lackluster in its support for workers.

They should reopen the economy and let people die from coronavirus rather than force us to die because they refuse to take any meaningful steps to take care of the citizens they are supposed to represent.

I am not against the shutdown at all but these moderate Democrat GOP compromise relief bills are just corporate bail-out that protects big business and scatters crumbs at the working class. We might survive the coronavirus but the standard of living for survivors will be ruined for years to come because of Congress and the WH’s lack of concern for the working class as per the course.

This is like the 'regular flu' and it's not like the regular flu.

Tell me why you don't think the death count might be 5 times higher, or even more with this thing if restrictions had not been adhered to and not continued to be adhered to.
