You should check and/or replace your belts every 4 years or 60,000-100,000 miles.

Remind me to change the serpentine belt at some point. When it's wet it sounds like a bucket of mice are being tortured to death under the hood. It's relatively quiet when it's dry but every time it rains I'm like "sheesh I gotta replace that shit" but then it stops squeaking and I forget about it until it rains again.

You should look into upgrading to hamsters. The guy at Autozone finally convinced me after he showed me the Habitrail he had set up under his hood. Hamsters are quieter and they don't chew up the serpentine belt if you remember to put cedar blocks next to where the belt loops over the running wheel.

Oh here it is. Based in the mountains of Virginey. https://www.whitegateleather.com/
Oh maybe they aren't Amish. There was another place I was considering that must have been Amish.

"genuine leather" actually means it's a super low grade of leather
Sheila LaBoof replied with this 5 years ago, 1 minute later, 1 hour after the original post[^][v]#1,123,391
I use the word genuine myself to mean it's actually leather. Too many belts in the stores, the fuckin things are plastic or some shit.

Checking the etsy shop, the leather is described as full grain. I think the phrase "genuine" was meant in the way I took it, not fucking plastic. The belt I got is true and thick, built tough like a motherfucker. https://www.etsy.com/shop/WhiteGateLeather
"White Gate Leather's handmade full grain leather belts and holsters will last a lifetime of everyday use. These belts are made from top quality vegetable tanned steer hides, and you will not find a better quality product."
