Mince garlic (easiest way is to peel the clove, place it on a salt-coated surface, and crush it with the flat of the blade before chopping) put on bread with butter, pop in toaster oven or oven for a few minutes.

I recently found out that for a couple bucks you can buy ready-made garlic butter or margarine, it's brilliant.
