mine grew in fine but I kept biting my cheek and they were hard/impossible to brush properly and I had these dumb gum flaps and the dentist said that the one with nothing beneath it might just keep erupting with nothing in it's way

Mine took like a month or so to fully come in. It's been like 15 years so I'm not 100% on the timeline but there definitely wasn't any problem/pain and they just grew right in.
Feel behind your last molar with your tongue. If you have one molar's worth of room you'll be fine. You can keep them unless they grow in completely fucked up (like totally sideways or some weird shit) or if there isn't enough room and they push the rest of your teeth out of alignment. Otherwise there's nothing special and they're just like any other molar.
