Hope you didn't misidentify it. One small mushroom probably won't make you trip. You have to eat 10× the weight of dry mushrooms when they are not processed.

Oh. I wouldn't eat it then, could be the mother stalk, that would prolong any new mushrooms from growing. Just wait until it is mature, and there will be plenty of mushrooms.

It's just something one of my friends called them, I think you'll be fine.

He also called them this like 10 years ago, so it isn't new by any means.
