Hope you didn't misidentify it. One small mushroom probably won't make you trip. You have to eat 10× the weight of dry mushrooms when they are not processed.

Oh. I wouldn't eat it then, could be the mother stalk, that would prolong any new mushrooms from growing. Just wait until it is mature, and there will be plenty of mushrooms.
