I just read these three threads:

and they got me thinking: most people here don't believe in the existence of the human soul, but most of us figure we're going to hit Uncanny Valley sooner or later. Do you think it may be possible to one day generate an artifical human soul using some form of sophisticated bio-quantum technology? I envision some kind of neurological implant that stores all of your thoughts, memories, sensations and personality. When your body eventually wears out, your consciousness is simply implanted into a newly cloned body, theoretically allowing you to live forever, barring the complete destruction of the "soul catcher" chip.

I guess it sounds too much like cyberpunk to ever be a reality, but I think the idea of a human A.I. is pretty intriguing, even if it's only a concept.
