Both the 1992 animated featured film Aladdin and the live action 2019 film Aladdin both have a good message for boys and girls.
While the latter film was made to reflect current values meaning that the message for girls have changed only slightly while also remaining the same. The lesson for boys have largely remained the same and seems to be less focused on.
It's easy to look at the character of Jasmine from 1992 and see that she is providing a role model for young girls to feel more free to make their own choices. Jasmine from 2019 is very much the same but also with a message that girls could aspire for something greater.
For the boys, Aladdin has always had that message that you don't have to pretend to be something you're not. You don't have to be a prince to get the girl. You just have to be genuine, honest, and most importantly, yourself. This story will always have a special place in people's hearts and I'm sure that goes for the live action version as well once the kids who initially saw it because their parents took them to see it will remember it fondly.
