People are saying that the president over there is going to regret calling it the flu and doubling down on it. The hospitals are full in major cities and it's only starting.

It's like a Brazilian times worse than the flu.

Old people have got to understand their time is up. They have had the lions share of the earths resources and they cant crash the worlds economy to protect their last few years.

Some people have to die. It's sad that's how it should be.

Not really. The deaths from a sharp drop in GDP will outweigh the loss of life to the virus and that doesn't take into account the drops in peoples quality of life

Good, that means we prevented a disaster where lots of people died because everyone was sick at the same time. How do you think people should actually tackle this, act like nothing is happening? That's retarded m8, you wouldn't walk into a hospital and get deliberately infected would you? In the very same way, people wouldn't go to work and get deliberately infected.

Old and vulnerable just need to shield for as long as it takes. We as a society carry on as normal and those who die, die. We can mourn them but understand we can't shut down the worlds economy with our current system.

If your concern is about the economy, you should pray that everyone does what they can to not infect others, that would be the best economic outcome. The excess amount of death that will result from a no containment policy will permanently shrink the economy since people are no longer alive in it and it won't just be the vulnerable since it's not just them that can get seriously ill, remember, since being seriously ill is a lot more serious when there's no doctors around. Not to mention that when people you know start dying, you're not likely to risk going to work, so this "fuck it" attitude is absolutely retarded.

Yet you were upset when it was your mother who may have contracted the virus.

There is too much value on human life. The higher the population the more damage we do to everyone and everything.
