Off the shelf bleach is usually 4% sodium hypochlorite in water which is pretty weak. Alcohol is most effective as a disinfectant at the 70% level so that's probably a good rule of thumb. Your best bet is to hit up a pool supply store where you can buy the 190 proof chlorine in tablet form and roll your own.
Chase it with a shot of aquarium cleaner (make sure you get the one with chloroquine) and some veterinary penicillin from the farm supply store for maximum protection.
