yes that is one of the great shames of our time. The U.S. and especially Israel failing to recognize it. If a country founded explicitly as a consequence of genocide fails to acknowledge all genocides they are disgracing the memories of those who died in the shoah.

Israel's lack of recognition is especially strange when you consider the longstanding tension with Turkey! Israeli politicians are pretty happy to rattle neo-Ottoman cages with positive remarks about Kurds/YPG/PKK - recognising the Armenian tragedy would be perfect! ?

My guess is they view that as a red line in the Turkey relationship. Turkey will put up with all kinds of shit from Israel, as long as Israel doesn't acknowledge the genocide. That's the only thing that makes sense to me anyway.
