Just wanted to share something that I found to be interesting. This is a Minecraft map, but this particular map houses some banned and illegal news articles from countries that have a reputation for cruel treatment if not harsh punishments which can include execution. Countries that have heavy censorship of the media and the internet. This lead the organization known as Reporters Without Borders to get a little creative by constructing a very large library from within the game of Minecraft. The reason being that while the media is heavily regulated, this game is still easily accessed.
Naturally, if any of these governments were to find out what these people are doing. They'll likely take down the map or ban Minecraft, but a group of people are constantly sharing it as so it's legacy lives on. It's a beautifully constructed building that if you were to walk among it's halls in virtual reality it may feel as if you're at a real location. It is also huge, gigantic, and sometimes takes some time to render completely.
The library is divided up into a main hall which has a massive map of the world in its floor. Then three different areas dedicated to banned news articles (written in books) for the following countries... Vietnam, Mexico, Egypt, Russia, and Saudi Arabia. They also include records recorded in these countries' native tongues. There is also an area where you can check how each different nation of the world ranks in terms of free press. The United States of America ranks at #48 out of 180 with the two countries ranking #179 and #180 being North Korea and Turkmenistan in that order.
