Who here loves Chipotle? I know I do. I particularly prefer the burrito bowl, but wouldn’t it be great to make your own burrito bowls at home?
I give to you my first attempt at a homemade burrito bowl.
Ingredients I used:
2lb. Carne Asada cooked with a dab of olive oil, garlic salt, and pepper
Fajita vegetables cooked with the meat.
Homemade Pico de Gallo with lime
Brown Rice (I used Uncle Ben’s package, I was starting to feel lazy)
Black Beans & Pinto Beans (both Stater Bro’s brand since it was the cheapest)
Sour Cream
Wholey Guacamole: Spicy
Organic Mexican Blend Cheese (Colby Jack, Monterey Jack, and White Chedder)
Topped off with Cholula Hot Sauce
I forgot to add lettuce, but I don’t think this needs it.
This has been Issue #4 of Cooking with Cathy. For past issues please see below.

Catherine can fill the taco Tuesday Syntax role, and this anon can fill the grooming Syntax role. We will need to divvy up his sprawling posting portfolio among many users.

Well done trying to cook for yourself! How was it? Did you make any for your family? If so, what was their response?
I recommend making your own guacamole, it's pretty easy and delicious.

Why are you citing me and fake anon? I'm not going to force anon C to apologise to you.

Everyone here is wrong constantly. I would not expect an apology tonight or ever from anyone here for any reason.

It was good. I still have to experiment with seasoning the meat a bit more but at least I don’t feel sick like I did with the Vons Carne Asada. My mother had a bowl minus the Pico de Gallo. She likes it.
I was going to make homemade guacamole but I got lazy because I didn’t want any other tasks and I didn’t really want the avocados to go to waste.

That's the fun part! Every time you cook you get to experiment with blending tastes, what kind of spices you might like, or how cooking something else with meat might lend it a different flavor.

I hope I still have mini tortillas so I could make some tacos with the leftover meat.

I’m making fajitas tonight. I’m just using bell peppers and carne asada from Stater Bros. Here is everything in the pan I’m cooking it in.

I have no idea what to do with the tops and ends of these bell peppers. Someone please suggest something.
