The boring people he has to listen to at "the briefings" told him to Tweet that boring stuff about social distancing, but then his cool and exciting friends on Fox News said that social distancing was anti-American.

And the fact that he just contradicted his own words mean nothing to him? Oh hell, why should I even ask. Of course it means nothing to him. He is probably too stupid to even understand that he contradicted himself.

The insidious part of Trump's "LIBERATE [INSERT STATE]" tweets is which states he inserted. At the time of Trump's tweeting there were anti-lockdown demonstrations in Michigan, Ohio, Minnesota, Utah and Virginia. Trump called for the "LIBERATION" of Michigan, Minnesota and Virginia. The connection? They have Democrat governors. He did not mention Ohio or Utah. The connection? They have Republican governors.

Trump was trying to foment unrest in Democrat states (at a time when the aforementioned governors are trying to prevent the spread of a pandemic). Which is disgraceful behavior from a president.

I didn't know that. Disturbing.

While it's funny (and not untrue) to view a lot of his actions as childish and stupid, it's probably fair to say that a lot of it is him being callous and ruthless. Calculated acts that he thinks he can get away with. That's much scarier, really.

I read that these protests have been astroturfed by groups leading back to DeVos
