I bought some lemon water from the store uptown a few days ago, it's a regular plastic bottle where the bottom of the lid is supposed to come off as you open it but it didn't. Same shit happened again with a cola that I bought downtown. That's some craycray.

What do you mean?

Sounds like they need to adjust the clutches in the capper. It's also likely those bottles aren't sealed properly and shouldn't have made it past the height sensor, which also needs to be adjusted. Probably.

You see the bottom part? It's supposed to come off and stay on the bottle when you open, two times within a couple of days apart. Whatever it is that's putting those things on them, it's fucking up.

Not really. The blade plates could be worn too. The bottle has a ring on it that the cap tightens against and if the bottle turns on the blade plates that are supposed to hold it still the lid can't be tightened properly. There's a lot of plastic shavings under the capper when that happens.

Next time you grab a bottle, try to tighten the lid before you buy it. If you can tighten it then it's not sealed properly and you shouldn't drink it. You should also hear or feel the tamper band of the lid engage if you tighten it.

If you buy a dud and go back for more, this is just a way to know to avoid that batch. Those bottles shouldn't make it to the packers, let alone the shelves.
