The whole pushback against the quarantine is probably coming from people with lots of money to be lost, they are pushing that narrative of it being just the flu to get people back working for them whilst they probably know it's nothing like the flu and taking measures like self isolation.
It's so frustrating. I know it's very much human like to be slow in response to crisis but this feels like more than just a slow response.

Well, there are reports that family of billionaire Betsy DeVos organised "operation gridlock" protests in Michigan. Betsy DeVos is Education Secretary. She's never been educated in a publicly funded school and her instincts are that investors should be making money off of anything under the sun, so of course she should be responsible for overseeing education of the entire USA.
