The problem is that people like Anon B get brainwashed by cartoonish strawman depictions of left-wing positions and mistake them for reality. Internet memes and Ben Garrison cartoons don't inform them about things like the gun control efforts or marches that regularly take place in Chicago or anywhere else, so they are speaking from an uninformed position when they pretend to know that X is what the left really believes or when they confuse relatively minor gun control laws with banning and confiscating all guns. There is really no nuance to their position: the problem is never the ready availability of guns and ammunition, they'll just find anything they don't like about the shooter or the situation and try to blame that instead.
