What? I'm just saying what "reopening" means. We aren't going back to 100% normal. We will not be able to do that until almost every person in America has been vaccinated. That's like..Spring 2021, maybe. We'll have to do an improvised partially-open economy at best until then.

I 100% agree with you, which is why states should not be pressured into reopening by anyone, and should only do so in a way and in a timeline that minimizes any risk of increasing infection.

If I had it my way no states would do any meaningful reopening until we could test 10 million people+ per day and had effective ways to immeditaley quarantine the sick. Trump and his big business buddies want the economy to open back up sooner rather than later because the lives of poor people are less than worthless to them.

We need contact tracing more than anything. It’s why Singapore, S. Korea, Hong Kong, and Japan have been so effective at fighting this.
