No, actually, him being hospitalised actually got him well-wishes from across the UK political spectrum. Even some ardent critics of his expressed worry when he was admitted to the ICU.

Well the politicians in my country that I disagree with aren't as bad as their American equivalents so I suppose that helps. I mean, the Conservatives are heartless, elitist bastards, but I'd still take them over the Republicans!
