But self-isolating means cutting off all contact with them for a set period of time. So the choice really comes down to whoever you think listens to the loudest and worst music.

Sure, ideally. But (in my country at least) people who live together are sort of treated as one unit for that since it's so likely that if one them has it then they've all gotten it, so they should probably all self-isolate together.
