I’m already settled in. My island has cherry trees native to it so I named my town Sakura. I like how I could place the houses for the residents myself because I hate where the computer settles them. I made a little encampment alongside the river since I want to grow the town organically and usually new settlements are along bodies of water. I could have settled by the ocean but the base camp is further inland so I settled near by the river.
There is one thing I dislike about the design feature. They took away different shades so it’s hard to shadow objects. When you switch the pallet it changes the entire image. But they do give you more slots than New Leaf so that is a welcomed addition.

I’m going to hate abandoning my old town on New Leaf since I know eventually Mac is going to leave me. I wish there was a way to properly retire in the game. I mostly check in periodically because I don’t want to lose Mac. Since I saw that he had a dog house inside his house made me fall in love with that puppy. I hope he is in New Horizons.
