Well, Bert does have femme toes, with his dainty size 9s.

That's $400 a month. At $20 for a 26er of 190 proof Everclear, and $3.50 for a red baron pizza, with $405 we get one pizza a day and one 26 every two days. Seems about right.
Probably good that he doesn't have other expenses like rent or bills because he lives with his mother off her social security.

Yeah, it's a function of leaving your parents and entering the wider world/becoming responsible for yourself imo. That sort of massive change/shock/widening of perspective doesn't really occur at any other point in your life unless you leave a cult.

I've never heard "26er" as a measure of alcohol before. It's always either "a fifth" or "750mL" for the size roughly approximating 1/5 US gallon ?

I think she's talking about a half pint.
She is very confused about the price.

> Well a fifth is 25 ounces...but why isn't she using the metric system....where '26' sounds like referring to a half pint which is 260 millilitres.
1/5th of a gallon is 25.6 ounces, which rounds up to 26.
@1,107,656 (chill dog !!81dzJNNYL)
I did get that, but I've just never heard "a 26er" before. It can't be a Canadian thing because you guys are metric. I'm wondering if it's a regional US thing? ?

I think it's just easier to say than 750mL. People definitely do say 26 for those and 40 for the (i assume) 40oz beer bottles, i hear it all the time from Quebec to the west coast. Less bulky than saying 1.75L. Maybe we adopted it from Americans.

They don't sell scratch offs or lotto tickets in store anymore, they stopped doing that when they stopped taking empty cans/bottles. You can still play the lotto online.

Our family used to buy these 32 ounce coke in glass bottles that came 6 in a carton. They let me take them back to get the refund 25 cents per bottle. $1.25 WAS decent pocket change for a kid back then, like 40 years ago.
