Because getting high while drunk seems awesome. Getting drunk while high seems pointless.

For me it is the other way around. If I'm high I drink slowly and I'm fine with just having a couple drinks to make things a little more interesting. But if I'm drunk, I always severely overestimate how much I should smoke and I ended up getting way too high.

I agree with first part of what you said cause that's how I generally feel about it. The second part sounds like something a girl would say though.
