54 people are known to have it in Congo. 5 are already dead. These countries are going to be boiling with rage after this ends and for good reason.

That's what the data shows i guess. It's sort of like you're asking me where I first heard something that's common knowledge. You can see and read about it in the news, a lot of people infected need those machines to help them breathe, if they are to have a fighting chance against the infection.

I believe it's because the immune response to the infection causes swelling in the lungs. Swelling that then can even lead to scars i think
