If you didn't want to have to wash your hands after going to the bathroom, couldn't you just wear a new pair of latex gloves whenever you go to the bathroom?

You could also just not wash your hands ever!

Well there is that, but if you feel the social pressure to wash your hands, basically isn't this a hand-washing substitute, the gloves?

Remove sinks and paper towels in bathrooms and replace them with a latex glove dispenser ?

If you can remove the gloves without having the outside of them touch your hands, yeah absolutely.

Alternatively if you can piss without ever touching your genitalia you don't need to wash your hands at all.

That's absolutely doable! You pull off one glove, hold it in the other hand, stick your finger inside the bottom of the glove and peel it so it comes off inside out with the other glove inside it

The gloves will get dirty. Just wash your hands. Why make excuses when it only takes 20 seconds of your time?

Ideally one should vigorously wash their hands for the entire length of the song Freebird but 2 minutes is acceptable.

You can chew them like gum! Gum is the only thing i noticed a shortage of at the grocery store today lmao

Oh well I'd rather chew gum than latex gloves but maybe I'm just weird. We are sold out of so much stuff here! Toilet paper, paper towels, soap, a lot of meats. Basically anything you can freeze or stick in a pantry is low. Plus I am trying not to go out as much as possible to avoid the virus. I've been basically stuck in my apartment for 2 weeks at this point, maybe 3. I can't even remember how time works anymore.

That's wild. It's gotta just be all the panic buyers. People have been really good about that here, just two rushes of a couple days panic-buying. Are you going stir-crazy? I know I am.

Fake anon !ZkUt8arUCU replied with this 6 years ago, 6 minutes later, 1 hour after the original post[^] [v] #1,104,875

@previous (chill dog !!81dzJNNYL)
Yeah panic buyers ruin everything. No one actually needs 48 rolls of toilet paper or 15 pounds of chicken. You're lucky! I'm doing ok but I was always kind of a loner. I am mostly worried about tension with my roommate. We get along and I like him but spending this much time cooped up with someone you aren't dating is kinda pushing the ordinary roommate relationship to its breaking point. I'm gonna try taking an extended lunch and walk around outside more once it's above 55 or so here. I don't know if I can do another like 8 weeks of this though. What a shitty time to live in. What are you doing to keep sane?

Are you guys getting along? Is it tense? Please elaborate on your relationship/situation with your roommate!

I'm honestly going stir crazy. Trying to spend more time outside with the doggy but it's killing me that i can't get quiet time to read or just let my brain rest from the background noise. I'm just waiting on the weather to allow me to go outside more or sit in the car. How are you occupying your time/staying sane?

He's not really my type unfortunately. He is a penis person.
@1,104,878 (chill dog !!81dzJNNYL)
We are getting along alright, and do normally. We talk, play video games, cook together occasionally, etc. It's just, usually I'll see him for 3-4 hours a day max due to us both working full time on slightly different schedules. Now I am within like 20 feet of him 22 hours a day. It's just a lot to be around someone you don't know all that well. I do like being around him, and his job on a certain political campaign is winding down which means he's less stressed overall. He's a pretty cool dude and I'm glad he chose me to be his roommate. He seems kinda like he wants a gf though and now that his job is winding down he isn't working 12 hour days 7 days a week he can actually do that. Or he could do that, except the virus kinda puts a halt on socializing so I think that's getting him down as well

I'm sorry about that! Do you think you could negotiate some quiet time with your bf? Like an hour or two a day just so you can focus and relax? Hopefully the weather gets warmer soon but I don't think you can really rely on that being true for another couple of weeks.

I'm fiddling around on my guitar a lot more, and reading some e-books. Got animal crossing and I'm playing that over the internet with IRL friends as well. I'm not doing new things really, I'm just doing a lot more of the things I was already doing. That will change soon and I'll get bored and pick up a new hobby or something! I am only in week 2 or 3 of the quarantine. What does your next couple of weeks look like for you in terms of activities/jobs you have lined up?

Do you guys spend more time together or in your rooms alone?

I think he would wear headphones if I asked tbh. It's just hard to even get in the headspace to want to read or study or practice music with the background noise on, i find it a bit draining. Maybe I'll try that in the coming days.
I picked up a tiny little embroidery kit, i should break that out. I've really got nothing lined up, work isn't going to happen until things calm down. How about you?

Fake anon !ZkUt8arUCU replied with this 6 years ago, 32 minutes later, 2 hours after the original post[^] [v] #1,104,896

More time together but only because we both prefer to work in the common area. If one of us is making work calls we will go to our rooms but otherwise we hang out together.

Yeah that makes sense. Even something as little as that could do wonders for your mental health. And embroidery sounds super neat. What would you embroider?

I have my current job that I work remotely for now. I am basically stuck doing that for the for the foreseeable future.
