I believe it was like this in China first as well. People keep underestimating this virus and it's not until the top dog hears it from the second too dogs that the third top dogs are howling and barking, ripping each other apart, not until then is everything finally completely shut down.
All that's needed to beat this thing is a month or two of real duty shut down and rapid mass testing.

I think we need to invent something like a geiger counter, but instead it detects the coronavirus. Like some kind of machine sucks in air into some kind of tubes with state of the art lenses that can see things on a cellular level, with a AI being behind the lens.

Regardless of how the choice seems to have been made right now, the choice between the economy and public health, they will reverse it when it gets bad and it will. I'll think they'll find that people don't want to work when a lot of people are dying around them.
