I am just a regular guy. I have a union job at a mill but what I make doesn't make ends meet. I have 5 children and I take care of my sick mother so I have to rely on federal and state benefits to supplement my income. It is not really a choice I want to make but it helps put food on the table and buy me a PS3 so I can have Madden tournaments with my boys.

Well, it's also Buddhist temples (they did the same thing. Didn't report abuse and were hostile to victims an allowed the priests to move to other temples while covering for them).
Jewish temples. Christian cults (anytime people speak out on Christian cults there is almost always sexual abuse. Maybe always and it's not disclosed, that's possible).
With cults it's different though. It's a means of control. With the buddhists and catholic priests it's a different dynamic. They both take vows of celibacy. It's likely this results in the perfect breeding ground for abuse. The priests have no release. They get sexually pent up and aren't even supposed to masturbate. It's completely unnatural. Breaking this vow is the big crime. That's what causes the cover-ups. There is also a good deal of blame levied at the victim as well. It's a weird situation. These priests are so out of touch. Some aren't. There was one catholic priest who fought to change shit with child molester priests (he wanted to send them all to do quiet study in a secluded church property).
He was silenced. I don't know why. I think abuse in the church is much worse than we know. Im not suggesting all the Vatican has little rent boys (wouldn't surprise me, though. Celibacy is weird. Most decide to become priests in their teens or earlier, which halts their sexual development).
I really hope everything comes out one day. It would make for interesting reading to see what actually all went all in terms of covering it up. What we already know is pretty scary.

It does happen in Churches and alternates joints of worship. Schools and homes - With the Catholic Church they have the Forgiven thing.
Christians teach one can fail and then be forgiven for the failure. The Catholic Church wood just send the abusing Priest back to the Church or move the Priest to some other Church. In some cases this has gone on for decades with the same abuser just allowed to repent and repeat.
Odd because the very same Christians do believe in putting people in Prison instead of just confession and counting sum beads lol

Cults are different only in power and definition. They are centralized, so they are more able to isolate members. Many mainstream churches practice and encourage but don't demand such practices.
Let's look at the catholic church, the largest religious organization in the world. The pope directly was involved in covering up child abuse.
When he was archbishop he transferred a priest who was accused. That priest was placed with children and went on to abuse again. The most recent diocese he was placed wasn't told of his past offenses. He was only suspended when he was charged by police.
If that isn't bad enough, when he was prefect of the inquisition (I forget the current name, but it was the office that did the inquisitions) he ordere all instances of sexual abuse to be handled secretly (under the higest level of secrecy, breaking would almost certainy mean excommunication). They had to remain secret for 10 years after the victim turned 18.
Could you imagine ANY other organization having such a policy? Could you imagine a CEO who signed the order not beig forced to resign and facing charges?
It's beyond disgusting. This is what disgusts me about Catholics.

Yea its truly very bad. Been that way for CENTURIES. HowEver now with law suits and pay outs the Church is only changing do to economy of scale.
What I ALSO dislike about THEM and the others are those who play Missionary position and go to Africa and fuck over those who are the non-believers. They teach Christian values and you and I know how well that is working for Planet Earth lol

Oh god. They turned Africa into a hotbed of ignorance. Africa has a rich homosexual tradition. Muslims and Christians brought their hate. Now people in Africa see homosexuality as something brought over by whites. It's so crazy. Newspapers in Uganda recently published names and pictures of suspected gays. Many have been killed disappeared. I think it's illegal to even be an activist supporting gay rights.
White American Evangelicals are to blame. The ugandans try to claim it's all them. They are so foolish. They go around lying about how gays and lesbians recruit children by giving them MacBooks and iPods (I should note, the preacher i saw in a vanguard report saying alm this uses a MacBook).
They go around claiming that homosexual sex is all fisting (which, what's wrong with that? I wouldnt want to do it, but nothing wrong with those who do) and shit play.
The guy in the vanguard piece would shout "do we want them to eat our children's poopoo?!" and the audience takes him seriously.
It did bring Muslims and Christians together.
