Topic: I still remember what Brie said to me on MSN 8 years ago after I drank 3 litres of rum...

I thought I had died. Brie said that the year was 2020 and robots had taken over. Maybe he was being prescient and this whole coronavirus pandemic is a ploy for robots to start taking over.

It's why I warned wuhan about having their biological weapons lab connected to the internet. I warned them about skynet but they didn't listen.

I'm sorry if saying so sounds rude but your 98 pound ass didn't drink no 3 liters of rum. Unless it was over the period of a week or ut was some 30 proof fruit shit.

The longer there are no cars on the road and people afraid of germs there's more incentive to rush the development of self-driving automobiles. Uber and Lyft will be the first ones to benefit from this new technology.

I think that if they made enough underground hyperloops, we wouldn't even need cars and the ground could be for humans to walk upon and nature to take hold....

Durrh. A car with a driver is entirely likely to get that thing off the road
before it gets hit. The self driving car will be left sitting there and a minivan with a man and a woman and four babies will plow into it at 70 mph and all be tragically killed.

You know most self-driving tests involve stopping if it detects an obstacle like that.

Our metro is still open but I've been driving more (still fairly infrequently, but more). Good to get practice, i guess, cause i still get panicky on occasion.

Why would the human driver more likely to pull the car over??

I chuckle to myself how Bert has to brag about his alcohol tolerance being higher every time someone else mentions drinking.
Bert, mate, your dependence on alcohol isn't something to be proud of.

Maybe not but I would be happy to have a drinking contest with any one on this board and watch them start slobbering on themselves while I appear unintoxicated.

Right so in what scenario would a self driving car not go to the side of the road if it detected motor problems?

Idk how that would randomly occur but then you'd take manual control if it hadn't already seen something wrong going on and going to the side of the road

A computer crashing seems bizarre and nearly impossible to you?
