No. My position has not changed. I am OK with gun ownership for certain restricted purposes, by responsible people who keep the arms locked up away from ammo, who keep them, in good working order, and who are not criminals, insane, etc. This rifle will only ever be used at the shooting range, or in the event of societal breakdown or zombies.

The Las Vegas shooter by all metrics was a “responsible gun owner”. Weapons like the one you possess should be banned for use by the ordinary populace.

But he was not. He was a gun hoarder with bump stocks and psychological problems. He did not keep them in his house Swiss-style.

Oh I agree. That's why I purchased the gun today, to be honest. I am also looking into ballistic body armor.

People are already getting in fistfights over toilet paper. We know for a fact that hospitals are close to being beyond capacity. If people cannot get into a hospital, or especially if there is shortage of food sources, then there will be rioting and looting. I just want to make sure that, if the rioting mob comes down my street, they will not be stopping at my house.
