Job Summary:
Funeral Home Assistant but mostly doing removals and transportation of remains.
The Team Member effectively performs human removals for area funeral home. The Removal Team Member can be on a rotating schedule covering a 24 hour, 7 days a week coverage requirement. This position requires excellent communication and customer service skills, as well as a proactive approach to initiating and following through with a variety of business-related tasks within an on-call environment. Responsibilities:
Perform body removals and transport from both clinical and residential settings. Once dispatched, respond to destination timely and ready to work. Conduct problem-solving skills upon arrival at the scene to determine the course of action. Be ready and available for an entire 24-hour shift on a rotating basis Place deceased on the stretcher and load/unload into a van. Willingness to work with multiple people in many different situations in a team environment. Meet customers after hours to receive deceased human remainsEnsure bodies are transported safely and timely to the destination(s)Retrieve, complete and return associated paperwork accompanying remains. Care for the deceased with dignity and respect. Must be able to use a cell phone, GPS, email, and text messaging. All staff members are expected to be a team-oriented, self-starter and maintain the confidentiality of all information gained while employed.
Qualifications:
Minimum, 18 Years of AgeNo experience, or education level necessary. Must be able to pass a background check. Must be able to pass random drug screenings.
