Topic: We had to get a new router.

Externally hosted imageIt is not from Spectrum as when my brother went there they told him that they didn’t have a router/modem combo unit. So we just got a new Nighthawk. This time with four antennas. Here is a Speedtest.

That’s good. Syntax will be happy.

Did you ever find your missing files?

So many Modems. So many Routers. So many models with Modem included with the Router.

All at no charge. Your brother is lucky he can just throw money away.

He asked Spectrum themselves in person. They told him that they don’t have a modem/router combination unit.

Internet equipment rental Included

@previous (Catherine !ttGirlsPl2)
On any given day they may not have all models in stock.
NOW - Assume they did not have a combo model is stock. They will have a Modem in stock and a Router in stock. They even provide the connector from Modem to Router.

What you can do to improve your own knowledge. Go to the Spectrum store. Tell them you are just looking and would like a tutorial of what they offer. Start with the basic internet package and ask about equipment options.

"$9.99 charge for Wi-Fi activation when you have internet service set up. As with TV, you can opt for a self-install kit to avoid the fee (and scheduling an appointment)."

Equipment fee: included in price
Unlike Spectrum TV, there is no additional charge for renting Spectrum internet equipment.

"You can still use your own modem or router, but there’s no financial incentive to do so.

There’s no point in doing that now.

Of course that was me and why can't Bro just return the one he paid for and get the combo or the separate units for FREE

Plus when they upgrade the system cause they are still building it out for 400 Mbps and have it running for Business as it is and what your Bro bought is probably not going to crank out the upgrade.

The Nighthawk they bought is better than any garbage you could rent from Spectrum. They just need to go buy a new modem and they are set. Modem/router combos are widely known to be shitty

I don't know much about this. Is there a reason or the need for the router/modem combo?

Reason mostly because of space saving and USUALLY There is NO Reason to not combine them. A shared Power supply makes for a more efficient way to go
