Topic: My neighbor fell down the stairs and into my home
Anonymous A started this discussion 6 years ago#97,165
Knocked unconscious halfway into my home, bleeding from his head i think. It was absurd. For moment I thought he was dying because he wasn't breathing so much, but the medics said he'd be fine. But halfway through they asked me to take some medical stuff down to the ambulance for them but he was on my shoes so I'm there on my socks in the rain, holding medical equipment while this chaotic traffic is trying to get past the ambulance. But the doors were locked and people were looking at me funny because my hands had blood on it.
No i doubt they would let me know. It is very strange though, another fully dressed man came down, very shortly after I found him on the floor, and he went down to open the door for the paramedics but never came back. Then a neighbor came immediately after they left and asked me if I had pushed him. Totally absurd.

They asked you if you had pushed him?! Why was he so suspicious of you and how did you respond?

If you have a clue about where they took her hospital wise?
Call the hospital and get to the nurse in charge and explain how you helped and exactly who you are and you may get some basic info
Sure laws limit medical details in USA but NOT basic details like is she going to be ok
I did this after a dance evet where my dance partner and I hit the bathrooms (separate of course) in a hotel and she yelled for me to come into ladies room where a gal had passed out - After checking her pulse rate and eye movements to a small flashlight I hit the lobby and had them call 9-11
So later wondering what was up with the gal who had no aroma of Alcohol at all and eye that showed no signs of drugs - Paramedics agreed her passing out and then Them and me waking her up was not easy to analyze as to why. Panties down and we think only because she came out of the stall and then quickly passed out -
Never did find out exactly what was wrong but was told that with 3 days in they wood release her as totally ok and that was that on phone.

Well shit. I think he's ok though. Maybe both of us will eat cake later and laugh about it i imagine. I'll say something like, next time just knock and we'll both laugh about it lol. Seriously though you were wise to not leave her there, I'd hate the shit out of it if someone left someone i know like that.

In your case you got all bloody and wet. I was in the Grant hotel a very classy downtown hotel and we parked there because of low cost and the very nice bathrooms.
Other than getting down on my knees to inspect her and I do hate touching any bathroom floor of course - was really and easy yet queasy situation because there was no obvious reason for her to be passed out.
Later a month or few months I attempted to call her but finding a number for her just did not happen. This was at least 5 years ago. Bottom line is I will never no what the problem was.

The way I see it though is that most people wouldn't have cared enough, most people would just have cruelly judged her as a drunk, they would have told their gal not to worry and make some kind of obscene connection to not caring and being strong, just to increase their chances with their lady. When you don't know something about another person and you'll never find out, i think it's best, in my own experience, to assume the best. I don't know how you would "assume the best" in your situation but I can assume the best outcome. She's raising the next Einstein, syntax. She could have crossed paths with someone who would have ruined her life but that didn't happen, and she's reading a adorable children's book to the next Einstein.

I have lived a very long time and so far when I am anywhere were an accident takes place I see Others stopping to render help. Often I may only offer up a clean towel and I do carry lots of safety stuff in car including spare clothes jackets even a few small pillows as well as basic survival stuff - Just that so many others have already stopped to render help.
AND where I live just about every 3 or so days there are people departing Panga boats. Just the other day minutes from where I live 13 people were DUMPED off by their smuggler in ICY COLD Water and left to swim to shore on their own - At least two people are still not accounted for.
I totally admit to helping them when they land on my beach - Food water and only Hypothetical Shelter - Border patrol is here almost every day parked right next door to me in early morning and late evening- I have not run into a single person that is not willing to help the strangers. Only wish I could speak a few words of Spanish. I can but just very very few. Holding out blankets and Towels that they can keep goes a long way around here. My stock pile of such is taking up wayyyy to much space but it's the least I can do. Handing out very few $ also goes a long way.
The law cannot stop me from offering help. They have the nerve to tell me what I do in wrong - I just say to them - What wood Jesus do and so far all I get is a quick walk away.
Oooops hold on as I have a image to go with this

It's always smart to be prepared, and it's true that a little help goes a long way, you're a good person. I often want to help people too, i just feel perplexed about it because I think the way to help is to change the system as the typical saying goes.
