I can see what you're getting at, though. Another example of good DLC was the DLC for Dragon Age Origins. They were pretty solid in my opinion.

When you are play WoW Vanilla, you are playing Wow Vanilla. When you install the expansion (Burning Crusade), you are playing WoW: Burning Crusade. When you playing COD 4, you are playing COD 4. DLC is one of the worst things that have happened to modern gaming, and the more DLC people buy the more it will be accepted as the norm.

I can agree with you on that. Both Dragon Ages left out an entire party member and had them as DLC instead. If you bought a copy first-hand, they were free, but still. It's intentionally withholding content.
