A economic collapse might lowe the price of a lot of things but can we afford them either way? Not likely when we all out of a job. Once the seriousness of the virus is globally self evident, nobody is going to want to do nothing except staying at home and the economy is going to act as itself has the coronavirus.

Most people get healthy on their own without treatment and half of the people that catch it already have an underlying condition

More dangerous than it is? Perhaps there's just a difference in our personality, you see, when there's a virus currently spreading everywhere that's probably going to kill about 100 millions of people within a year... Well i would consider that a pretty dangerous situation. It might possibly even kill more than that if we can't slow down the rate of the infection because when the hospitals are overwhelmed, then it's going to be very scary.

Lol where did you get that number? More people die from influenza (3k vs 80k this year)
The infection rate is going down significantly in China, though not in Italy because they haven't found patient zero yet afaik.
Anonymous C replied with this 6 years ago, 8 minutes later, 1 hour after the original post[^][v]#1,096,273
Yeah China has been doing almost everything except executing the infected and at a huge cost of the economy, and it's still spreading.... This isn't going to be contained with the current efforts. We might have some success in slowing it down once people like you see how serious this is but by then it's going to be a pretty big global outbreak.
There's like what, 9 billion people in the world? It's pretty simple to calculate and the numbers are even worse if you factor in that not every country can respond like China or South Korea.
dreamworks replied with this 6 years ago, 6 minutes later, 1 hour after the original post[^][v]#1,096,274

um if it's not being contained then why is the infection rate in the location of the biggest outbreak going down

Your just assuming it will spread to 100% of the population?? That's never happened in the history of mankind. How many countries don't have their patient 0s quarantined?
Anonymous C replied with this 6 years ago, 4 minutes later, 1 hour after the original post[^][v]#1,096,281
No I'm not assuming that. I'm assuming 4 billion people are going to get the virus this year. 1% lethality, that's 40 million right? Okay, now it's going kill far more than 1% of those 4 billion when you take into account that there simply isn't enough hospitals for everyone. Hell, in some countries there's not enough hospitals all ready.

Given this is a fact no rational person can deny
You are going out of your way to work and pay for the right to get cancer and or have a stroke and or bust your heart up so as to put cold hard cash in some doctors and hospitals wallet.

Ah - I could and shud rite volumes on the value of Wireless communication. - Perhaps you still are a fan of the old fashioned pay phones - News says New York city is removing all and replacing them with 5G enabled Wi-Fi spots Quickly.
Since I am having fun with rants about dumb as all fuck people who worry about new Virus from China and are waiting for the next Chinese Surprise for animal to human transfer cause such is the nature of Chinese culture AND Seems so many of the whiners here SMOKE Tobacco in search for Cancer and Heart diseases
Did you No this?
Globally, Car accidents are the leading cause of death among young adults ages 15-29 – and the 9 th leading cause of death for all people.
These days many cars will do a automatic crash report and or others will pick up cell phone and call 9-11 AND Many municipalities have dumped the old self owned communication tools for just ordinary Cell Phone Business account (in my opinion a poor idea but it's a lot cheaper) (poor because cell system in Fires Earthquake or Weather shit happens falls apart QUICKLY)
Billions of people NEED 5G which in no way will be enough so it keeps my wallet filled currently with 6G/7G and more more for the future - I stopped working on 5G a couple years ago for the most part - Still consulting on 4GLTE related needs for Satellites AND now 5G by stealing some Satellite Spectrum to help 5G needs and keep Satellites System alive n not bankrupt like last tyme
So this small fact for ya
Globally, Car accidents are the leading cause of death among young adults ages 15-29 – and the 9 th leading cause of death for all people.
Some say and tests are underway all over Planet Earth using 5G for self driving cars and TRUCKS TRUCKS - AND without 5G? Wood be just a joke -
So imagine this - One day in future a Car will self drive OR Assist drive and use 5G as like Air Traffic Control to reduce accident chances - Because not all cars will have such systems the problem requires Super high speed communication between the Cars and other Cars with same system as well as a Car to a Traffic control center that also observers the Drones flying overhead when it's just possible a Drone has a glitch and starts to fall into oncoming Traffic
Oh by the way (commercial) Qualcomm has a HUGE number of Snapdragon Chips inside HUGE Just HUGE number of Drones.
Anyway China Virus may slow down 5G at the moment as supply lines are going SLOWLY -
5G is what U will be using and you will be happy or unhappy to pay your way cause frankly U have no choice do you
You could always look for the old pay phone
