There is only one reason Bert has not been drunk. His inability to steal from someone's social security and his failure to find enough bottles in his dumpster dives to turn in for the bottle/can return fee.
Frankly I am very surprised that Bert has not found a way to pimp out someone close to him so he can take the money and run but hey that is just me

That said the very best most brilliant Engineer I have ever met and he is now over 100 years old and still filing for new Patents. I learned so much from him AND that includes how to never to business the way he did. Great Engineer and terrible at running a business. So in my life I kind of do just the opposite of the way he wood.
We share three patents together albeit two are locked up for only US Gov use. I am still collecting royalties on one and that should have expired decades ago.

You can see that $500 Million is currently under 1% of his net worth. I and not bragging, made 5% on my money today with just one stock. I even posted about what I was going to buy for Monday and the unique way I could make a quick bunch of bucks by selling it short and sure enough it came in at just over 5%

I just think it's a funny name because the 'paleo' they're often referencing is usually only a century or two in the past. Most of the people who identify with that label now strike me as a mix of constitution fethishists and Christian nationalist mail-order militia types, so yeah, a pretty toxic bunch. The American Conservative is still a fun read from time-to-time to take the temperature of what dusty old conservativism looks like.
