I had an Uber driver ask if I was an intellectual and I didn't know what he meant. He said it's because I like to think about music and the meaning behind the lyrics. But like... the way he asked it I couldn't help but question if I was being a snob or whatever.

I do think there is a kernel of truth to that. That, say, a university professor or highly paid journalist or someone with a six figure job at a think tank doesn't understand what it's like to live paycheck to paycheck.
