I don't know if it is the logical conclusion of internet fora. It's certainly a fast-track option for making comments that thousands of people can take issue with for thousands different reasons. It's like speed dating for trolls and contrarians.

That feels pretty teleological. It came after them, but is not like some idealized version of the platonic form of internet forums or anything. It's just the currently most popular platform for sending out short snarky messages. Something else will supplant it in due course.

I've tried looking at twitter a couple of times but I give up when I can't see where the fuck the bottom of the page is going to be. More shit keeps loading in and then shit runs slower and you can't scroll all that shit.
