They preach about this film as if it's the bible. As if it's the solution to the reason why they can't get laid or even in a committed relationship. I have never seen this movie and I will likely see it myself once it comes available on a streaming service, but why is the fanbase for the film so sad and depressing?

It was an okay movie but it was just watching an antihero descend further and further into mental illness. There wasn't like a big overarching message or anything so idk what people took away from it.
