Topic: Only total dicks run Arch GNU/Linux.

I have totally noticed this among my computer friends.

Gays use Mac, Oldfags use Windows, Nerds use Debian, and assholes use Arch.

Arch is for hipsters that can't install Gentoo.

Arch and Gentoo are two completely different things.

Yeah, but it's always the Arch guy who only thinks he's smarter than you when he's not. The Gentoo guy is usually smarter than you in many ways.

Arch is intended to look cool and "geeky", while Gentoo is just plain hard to install.

I prefer Linux From Scratch.

Yeah, but Arch does work fucking good though. Better than most linux GNU OSes. Probably not as fast as some of the patched up distros, but very fucking smooth in operation.

Gentoo isn't hard to install, it just requires patience.

Yeah, but it's not worth it when you can be using Arch+KDE or Arch+Gnome3 in 30 mins if you know what you're doing. And they work just as well as they do on Gentoo. I've actually used both in a production environment.

It's a decent distro, but it is populated by fucktards.

It can be. Gentoo is extremely more flexible than Arch.
Even then, you can use Chakra for a far better Arch-like experience.

Oh man. I feel the same way about Chakra. It's amazing!

It's what Arch would have become were it not for Arch's deliberate insistence on keeping it geeky to show off the elegance of their setup design.

I told the Chakra devs they'll have more users than Arch one day. Once KDE gets it shit polished for real.

I think it has more to do with the fact that the Arch team is littered with complete retards, but I see what you mean.

Chakra's KDE remix is a lot better than most as it is. I can't wait for the team to phase out pacman.

Still I gotta stay with Ubuntu now, even though I don't care for it. The kids have a better time with Unity than they do with KDE.

Sometimes I use Chakra in a VirtualBox on my Ubuntu install.
