Currently there are two new Russian satellites tailing one of our spy satellites.Why do you have a problem with new technology. Perhaps you should stick with just adding this to one of your food items to make it genuine Indian cuisine

Maybe eventually we'll have a space program that can launch people into orbit and get them back without our having to ask the Russians for help.

It's a little embarrassing that we have a "space force" that we have to ask Russia's permission to send into space and then ask to get our people back on Soyuz capsules. It's great someone copied the Star Trek logo to make a cool patch or whatever, but it all smacks of delusions of grandeur right now.

Using Russia for back and forth transportation is rocket science but NOT exactly earth shaking (pun) technology.
There is no profit in sending people back and forth. Let Russia do that because they have ALWAYS been better at building HUGH Monster Rockets - The had to because their electronics is not advanced and the Stuff is Heavy as all fuck.

I get that it isn't profitable and that's why we don't have the infrastructure to do it now. That's part of why the idea is crazy. It's about as effective as the Swiss Navy.
