Suddenly. It was the evening of May 9, 2018. I was hungover and feeling shitty (as I was every day) and I stopped at the store in the evening to buy some more wine as I had run out of wine. I was in the store with the box of wine in my hand (Franzia Dark Red Blend) about to put it in my cart and suddenly I sort of froze up. I could see the cycle I was stuck in: the drunk-hungover-drunk cycle. Like I knew logically it was real, but in that instant it was really real. So I paused for a minute and then said "I don't need this shit anymore" and put it back on the shelf. I haven't drank since.
It's funny though because I had no intention to quit that day. I had not planned it, it just happened. 5 minutes before, if you tried to stop me from buying the wine, I would have physically shoved you out of the way. 5 minutes later, I wouldn't have taken the wine if you paid me.
Now is this not to say I didn't have cravings or withdrawal, I did have both. Psychological withdrawal was pure hell. But I had the determination to fight through it. I didn't care if I died from alcohol withdrawal. At least I would die free.

This just proves God is real. You had a spiritual intervention.

Let's say I did had a spiritual intervention and God decided I needed to stop drinking so he gave me an epiphany. Why me? I'm not the worst alcoholic, not even on this forum. I personally know someone in real life (no details sorry but I've known this person for over 10 years and we are, or were, pretty close) who is literally fucking killing himself by drinking a handle of Evan Williams a day. He needs it more than I did two years ago. Why not him? Why not everyone with a problem? It just makes no sense at all.

Had a best friend die from over drinking - Super guy and everyone loved him. Type of person that wood give shirt off of his back for someone that needed a shirt - Brought homeless people home to family - 12 wives and they all loved him AFTER kicking him out.
He is also the guy that got me to buy a chunk of an Island with Jacques Cousteau
He also made so much money as Marketer of all kinds of electronics and had no clue what an electron was - Just a fantastic salesman and truly honest - Wood not touch a product he did not believe in. Even invented products Others had to design - Made Mega Million dollar deals BUT No one can afford 12 wives on Alimony and child support but damn how hard he cared and tried to do the right thing -
Damn I miss that guy.

You click upload and nothing happens sometimes. It's very frustrating.

Weird. I've never had that happen. Maybe you submit before it uploads (the URL will appear in the box when uploaded).

Happens to me all to often but less now. Many of pics I quick select have Web webp. extension and the upload will just hang forever. This also happens on larger files than Imgur allows, with no error message.
Of course now I convert them quickly so Imgur takes the new .jpeg file.
