No, you are. If you look into this you'll realise they used brexit as an excuse for their failings. I mean... they entered the market 2 years after the referendum

N26 were small, fewer than ~200k UK customers. Their offering was vastly inferior to Monzo and others, so this move is pretty expected.

N26 is popular in Germany and France because those countries' banking systems are awful. Uniquely terrible.
Compared to Monzo, N26 offered nothing new or innovative to UK customers. Their inferior service even had account fees.

They didn't. @previous (dreamworks)
They opened the office in 2018 in case the UK left, to maintain EU operations. They're not leaving the UK, unless I missed something.

However at some point later in 2020 we will transfer your relationship for the provision of E-Money Services from our UK E-Money firm to our Irish E-Money firm, Coinbase Ireland Limited. This will allow us to continue to provide you with E-Money Services following the end of the transitional period agreed between the UK and EU on 31 January 2021. We will be in touch in due course to confirm the exact timing and further details of this transfer.

Guess they're doing that for EU customers. Makes sense. No change for me and they've not announced they're leaving the UK.

Instead of saying "No they didn't?", you should say "No they didn't."

Um where the license is is the important bit

Coinbase will still have a licence in the UK. They need to deal with EU customers from... an EU country; you get Ireland (the obvious choice, as the Republic have made the bar to acquiring e-money licences as low as the EU allows, in traditional Irish fashion).
I understand what you mean, but the UK losing out on being Coinbase's 'EU HQ' isn't the same as Coinbase's total departure from the UK.

If there's anything Ireland loves it's tax revenue from large, American corporations. ?
