Payless shoes sucked. Every pair I owned fell apart in like a month. Fuckin garbage. They weren't even cheap, either ?
No wonder they went bankrupt.

I actually owned a couple and they'd last a little over a year for a decent price. All in all not terrible.

I actually wonder how much weight has to do with this. Like me starting, stopping, and turning would put a lot more strain on shoes than you because I weigh twice as much as you. You have larger feet than I do too (size 13 if I recall vs my size 12 4E) so it's spread out over a larger shoe area too.
On another note - if you look at a pair of shoes you've worn for a while (enough to see noticeable sole wear), do you notice any asymmetry of wear? For whatever reason my right shoe wears at about 1.5x the rate my left shoe does. I'm right handed but also apparently really right leg dominant somehow. I want to know if it's just me or other people have this too ?

The weight thing makes sense. It's possible heavier people wear their shoes out or break them more. And yeah my weight is distributed i guess over a larger surface area as well. I just checked my shoes and the wear is pretty similar on each shoe. Maybe you put more weight on one leg over another while walking? Otherwise I'm not sure why that would be!

I hate corporate speech like this. It's so fake and buzzwordy. No human being speaks like this until you stick them in a suit and put them in a board room.
