That's actually bad in terms of limiting the spread! If it had like a 20% mortality rate it would spread a lot slower because victims would just drop dead and not walk around sick all the time.

The figures OP is referring to reflect the epicenter of the outbreak, there have been no deaths outside of mainland China.

Yeah, though to be fair I bet the CCP is downplaying the numbers like crazy. I wouldn't be surprised if it was 10x as many infected as currently reported. We'll just wait and see.

They definitely are, and it is making it harder for international health experts to help quell the outbreak. As long as the outbreak is kept within China, that only really effects china, considering the country is locked down.
