Illeism – from the Latin ‘ille’ meaning he, that. The act of referring to yourself in the third rather than the first person.
It’s not a new trait, famous illeists from the past include Julius Caesar and Salvador Dali. We often hear or have heard prominent figures from the sporting and political worlds talking or writing about themselves in the third person or using their own name to describe their thoughts or actions.
It may initially feel egotistical, but research has shown that it can in fact help us to take a more distanced perspective. This not only allows us to be objective about our own behavior/performance but also to overcome our biases and see things more clearly from the other’s viewpoint. For example, when our mind re-visits a discussion or disagreement we had earlier with a partner or colleague. It has been seen to promote a healthier attitude, improve decision making, allow us to perform better, as well as to be less critical of ourselves afterwards.
For those skeptical about emulating a figure they’d rather not be compared to, there has apparently been no research carried out to date to discover whether high profile users of illeism are doing it for egotistical reasons or to determine psychological distance from stressful situations. Our tip is to use it in your self-talk for the latter, we aren’t prescribing how to conduct media interviews!
The stress tip
The next time you find yourself ruminating over something that happened earlier in the day or need to motivate yourself to finish a physical or mental task, step back (metaphorically) and use a third person pronoun or your own name. It should provide you with kinder self-talk and may produce the explanation or result you were looking for.

I made many a R/L friend from Bianca.com but mostly because of so many trips to San Francisco where they were headquartered ALBEIT I never once visited the official office. Office manager was one fantastic FUN as all fuck Gal who went by Voxeralla http://minichan.org/topic/94065
Alas she passed away in Oregon from what was probably an accidental overdose of multiple pain meds. Bert will remember Voxeralla - She also was the lead singer in a punk band
However the most meetups were at Burning Man. Did that a few years and WILL NEVER EVER Do that event again - Forum wise Bianca had so many members meeting at Burning Man and many for hard core sex in the tent the forum owners provided as well as all the grilled cheese sandwiches one could eat.

Will show you just a very few pics. First is the extent size wise of event from air. It is MASSIVE in scale. However the Wind Storms which contain massive amounts of SAND - Truly burns and chaffs you skin until you actually bleed at any point skin is exposed. Wind can pickup tents and works of art and many people are injured from the flying debris - Most activities are at night of course but even then temps at nite are in the 100's +
People are ultra friendly and sometimes a bit too much friendly - Sure was lots of fun and then NOT SO MUCH when stuff started to fly at you. Tents ripped apart and vans turned over as if there was a tornado - Massive number of drug overdoses.
