Why on earth would the working British people spend their own money in order to finance what patently amounts to a shameless PR vanity project of Boris Johnson? It's almost as if Johnson and his Tory party are laughing at how easily the average insular xenophobic British pondlife can be made to do things against their own interest so long as their nationalist instincts are stoked.
