All religion, mythology, superstition, and emotion aside, I have a simple question: Do you believe in life after death, ANY life after death?

Kinda. Before I was born, I ceased to exist. Somehow, I now exist. When I die, I will also cease to exist. If the post-death non-existence is equal to the pre-birth non-existence, that means the process can repeat itself. I won't retain any of the properties that made me "me", but I will still have a consciousness.

Since my consciousness seems to be inextricably tied to my brain, and once I die my brain disintegrates, I doubt "I" will exist after death. I wonder how any consciousness could exist without some sort of material cause, seeing as we have never convincingly had any evidence of consciousness independent of a brain.

Well, our bodies cease functioning at death, and then they start to rot away. Our consciousness exists in our brain. Our brain stops functioning and rots away.
No, I do not believe in life after death. Demonstrate that our consciousness somehow exists separate from our brain or body, and I think we might have something to go on. Until then, though no one can know for sure, it does not appear to be possible.
